The Aggies unfortunately lost on Saturday but now they must focus on former Big 12 and now SEC adversary Missouri Tigers. The Tigers are scheduled to play the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday December 7th. The only problem with that is both teams will be fighting for their post season lives come Saturday. Alabama meets Auburn in the Iron Bowl and Missouri hosts the Aggies.
South Carolina has finished their SEC schedule so regardless of their outcome with in state rival Clemson, can still play in the title game with a loss. The Game Cocks finished with a 6-2 record in SEC play including a 27-24 victory in overtime. So there will be a lot Aggie fans in Columbia, well South Carolina that is.
The Aggies can definitely play the role of spoiler if for nothing else beat a top five team and increase their bowl resume. The Aggies are only two wins away from back to back 10 win seasons for the first time since 1994. That was also the last time the Aggies went undefeated throughout an entire season (10-0-1). However, they will need to win Saturday and their upcoming bowl game.
This meeting also marks the first time both teams have been ranked since 1998 when Aggies were 6th and Tigers 13th. Texas A&M won that game 17-14 at Kyle Field.
