A&M vs Missouri: Players of the Game

Offensive Player of the Game

There was no clear cut offensive MVP in this game so I will give it to three players. Johnny Manziel, Tra Carson and Derel Walker each deserve credit for their play on offense. Tra Carson and Derel Walker each had a touchdown last night against the Tigers, of course Walker’s touchdown came off the throw by Manziel. I added Manziel to the list due to the fact that he played through injury and competed for his team.

Honorable Mention: Travis Labhart

Defensive Player of the Game

Two Aggies stood out for me with their play on defense against the Tigers. Linebacker Steven Jenkins and Defensive Lineman Jay Arnold get the nod. Jenkins played in his final regular season game for the Aggies recording 12 tackles. The future looks bright with freshman Jay Arnold who recorded two sacks and two TFL.

Honorable Mention: Clay Honeycutt, Nate Askew and Alonzo Williams

Special Teams Player of the Game

Punter Drew Kaser did a phenomenal job when called upon to try and pin the Tigers deep and flip the field position. The Aggies had a lack of a return game last night so Kaser was the clear candidate. Kaser punted the ball eight times for 358 yards (44.8 average). One of those punts was 58 yards.

Honorable Mention: Josh Lambo 3-3 on extra point tries.
