Aggies and Blue Devils to Meet in Atlanta

According to multiple reports the Aggies are heading to Atlanta to play in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl representing the SEC. The Duke Blue Devils will be the ACC team after going 10-3 this past season. This will be the first ever meeting between the two schools on the gridiron.

Texas A&M is looking for back to back nine win seasons for the first time since 1990-1995 and 1997-1998 when RC Slocum lead them to six straight nine win seasons and eight in nine seasons. This game could be the last time you see Johnny Manziel and Mike Evans in an Aggie uniform. They have until January 15th to make their decision on the NFL Draft eligibility.

This will mark the first time that either team has participated in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl. This is also the first time since 1979 that a team from Texas will play in this game. Baylor was the last Texas team to participate back in 1979 and Texas Tech in 1974.

The SEC is 16-14-1 in 31 appearances in this bowl while the ACC is 15-19 in 34 appearances.
