Coming off the heels of the Aggies suspending basketball guard J-Mychal Reese another Aggie was also suspended. Within the last couple hours, reports have surfaced that Aggie linebacker Darian Claiborne has been arrested for possession of marijuana and a dangerous drug (prescription). Safety Floyd Raven and cornerback Noel Ellis have been mentioned to be with Claiborne. He finished the season with 89 tackles.

Needless to say, this is a major blow to the already struggling Aggie defense as Claiborne was their new star linebacker, who was named to the SEC All-Freshman team. Should the other players be involved, the Aggies secondary will struggle. Similar events earlier this season involving drugs and other severe conduct has resulted in a suspension.

As the Aggies prepare for Duke in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl, we await the outcome of this arrest and hope the best for the Aggies and Darian Claiborne.
