Bottom Line
I predicted Texas A&M would finish the season surprising a lot of people with a 43-13 record. Granted I did not see the Kentucky sweep coming or the fact that we would blow late leads vs. both TCU and Texas Tech. However, Texas A&M completed this year with a 36-20 record and will enter the SEC Tournament this week with the No. 7 seed.

All things considered, especially how young this team is, this season went well. Braden Shewmake deserves every freshman award in existence for his incredible performance and development throughout the course of this year. This team is a lock for an at-large bid to an NCCA Regional and that was the bar to be expected out of this years team.
However, I am absolutely fully convinced that this Texas A&M Baseball team should be hosting a regional. The talent is there and has been there all year long. Having every piece come together simultaneously, however, hasn’t happened consistently. Most predictions have Texas A&M as a 2-seed in the Lubbock Regional. The Aggies already have a win against the Red Raiders back on March 3rd shutting out Tech 9-0. However, this is a much different Texas Tech team now.

I would consider it a huge accomplishment for this young team if the Aggies are able to put together a strong showing in the SEC Tournament and then go a win their Regional. This team has the talent and it is time to see it in crunch time. Texas A&M beings the SEC Tournament on Tuesday at 12:30 PM vs. Missouri.
