Previous rank: 10

Last week: 45-21 WIN vs. Louisiana Lafayette

This week: vs. Arkansas (Arlington)

The second-half vs. Lafayette Aggies are deserving of the ninth rank this week. Hopefully that same team shows up Saturday to open up conference play with a win. Despite numerous injuries, the young talent continues to save Texas A&M.

Previous rank: 11

Last week: 14-7 WIN vs. Kansas State

This week: vs. Alabama

This is the best Vanderbilt team we have seen in years. With a solidified defense, the Commodores turned heads after an upset win against Kansas State. If they manage to defeat Alabama at home, the world may stop turning.

Previous rank: 6

Last week: 26-20 LOSS @ Florida

This week: vs. UMASS

Tennessee usually comes up with the short end of the stick in close SEC games. After surrendering a last-second Hail Mary touchdown to Florida, the Volunteers need time to rejuvenate. This week should allow that, as they host UMASS.

Previous rank: 5

Last week: 26-20 WIN vs. Tennessee

This week: @ Kentucky

The Gators used their stingy defense and offensive luck to take care of Tennessee at home. Going on the road to Kentucky will be a tough test, and the Gators will need to start being more efficient on offense.
