This week: vs. Mississippi State

Of course the Aggies did not do anything wrong to fall in the rankings, but big wins by LSU and Auburn were too much to look past. Spots three through six in the rankings are a mess right now, and the next few weeks will determine a lot. Texas A&M needs to get their revenge on the Bulldogs Saturday night.

Last week: 52-20 WIN @ Arkansas

This week: BYE

Auburn had another big win at Arkansas, but the LSU loss still hangs over their heads. That game cannot be redone, but the Tigers will have an extra week to prepare before traveling to Texas A&M.

Last week: 40-24 WIN @ Ole Miss

This week: BYE

I am not quite sure why I have the Tigers so high, other than just going with my gut. This team has battled back to gain the respect of the nation after the loss to Troy. Who knows how much they will improve by the end of the year when they host Texas A&M.

Last week: BYE

This week: vs. Florida

As I stated earlier, the Bulldogs are going to see a few games that could result in a major upset. This team is extremely solid, but a few of their games have been a little close for comfort. The Gators will be playing with nothing to lose Saturday, and Georgia must win this game.

Previous rank: 1

Last week: 45-7 WIN vs. Tennessee

This week: BYE

Let’s face it, Alabama is going to keep the number one spot for the rest of the season. They have two weeks to prepare for LSU, and the only other way they lose is in the Iron Bowl. The Tide will win the west, unless there is a historic meltdown waiting to happen.
