9. A full coaching staff

There’s a new head coach in College Station but there isn’t much defined beyond Fisher himself. No announcements have been made about the current staff, that includes guys like Terry Price and Jeff Banks that have already been seen on recruiting visits with Fisher in December.

It’s likely that Price and Banks are going to be retained given their proximity to Fisher early on in his tenure at Texas A&M, but beyond that it gets murky quickly. There has been no mention of Noel Mazzone or John Chavis. It’s unlikely either of those two return – Fisher will want to bring in his own guys – but the lack of clarity is a bit unnerving.

Aggies want something, specifically someones, to get excited about. Names of new faces continue to be thrown out by various media outlets, but nothing has been confirmed by Fisher or any kind of release from the university. The vast majority of the fanbase isn’t going to know the names that get brought on board, but the completion of the hiring process is the next step towards building towards the highly anticipate 2018 season.
