Starting offensive line

You knew this one was coming. The offensive line was in flux for much of last season. Injuries and inconsistent play forced Kevin Sumlin to use nine different players, most of which are returning. Fisher also kept a couple good recruits from the 2018 class on the offensive line that will provide some competition.

Koda Martin was pegged as the starting left tackle in the spring, but he decided to transfer after a heat stroke nearly cost him his life. He is also now playing for his dad and father-in-law at Syracuse.

It leaves an opportunity for a young guy to step up. Center Erik McCoy seems to be the only entrenched starter, with Connor Lanfear being close behind him as a likely starter at guard. Both tackle positions and one of the guard spots are seemingly up for grabs, so it will be interesting to see who Fisher rolls with early in camp and if any changes are made.

The offensive line has to play much better in 2018.
