Texas A&M Football will play in one of the highlight games of the week in week four against Auburn. How will the Aggies fare against the #8 Tigers?
Texas A&M Football thought that it’s schedule was loaded enough with games against number one Clemson, number two Alabama, and number three Georgia.
That was, before the rise of the Auburn Tigers.
Auburn jumped from being ranked 16 to start the season up to number eight after a big win over Oregon, winning their next two en route to a 3-0 start to the season. With freshman stud Bo Nix at the helm, the Tigers come in with a whole lot of momentum.
As for the Aggies, Jimbo Fisher’s group comes in needing a win more than anything. An early season loss to Clemson put the Aggies on the ropes to start out the season, now needing a win in a game that looks a whole lot harder than it did when the season first started.
Both teams will be at relatively full strength on Saturday, as players that were listed as questionable in the days leading up to the game are expected to play in some capacity. The full strength of both teams sets the table for a fairly even matchup.
The quarterback play will be the x-factor on Saturday afternoon. Both Nix and Kellen Mond have had their struggles, but both have the skill to lead their teams to a big win. Whichever quarterback shows up in a bigger way will be on the winning end.
Mond and the Aggies absolutely need a win. With a massive home crowd against a hated Auburn team, the Aggies will have the advantage on Saturday afternoon. I’d expect a slow game with big plays by Mond at the end, with a 17-yard strike to Jhamon Ausbon winning the game with two minutes left.
Prediction: Texas A&M 20, Auburn 17
