Two Texas A&M Football quarterbacks stand above the rest talent-wise

2. Haynes King: It may seem odd to put 2021’s likely starting quarterback as the second-best on this list, but if we’re discussing sheer football talent, that may just be the case. Haynes King is a big quarterback who can throw the ball and be a threat on the ground. He was considered one of the best quarterbacks in the 2020 class, ranked as the 5th-best dual-threat that year.

Thus far, we’ve experienced a mixed bag from King, who hasn’t seen much playing time. One of the few games that he appeared in was during a blowout loss against Alabama. King has run the ball well for the Aggies thus far and in the air, he has thrown a touchdown and an interception in limited passes.

Right now, we don’t know what we’re going to get out of King. He’s young, exciting, and has an extremely high ceiling as a player.

1. Conner Weigman: Say what you want about Haynes King or Eli Stowers, nobody can deny the fact that Conner Weigman is the best arm talent that the Aggies have, committed or otherwise. The Bridgeland quarterback just finished 4th in the Elite 11, matching his ranking as the 4th-best quarterback in his class.

He’s a 5-star passer and a multi-sport athlete at the high school level. As an elite baseball prospect, he has the arm strength that can’t be taught to single-sport athletes. As goes for most of these QBs, he’s also a strong scrambler. Unfortunately for Aggie fans, they’ll have to wait another year before they see Weigman take the field.
