The Texas A&M football team is entering the gauntlet. Well, technically they entered the SEC gauntlet a few weeks ago when they faced off against Alabama.
That said, for the first time this year, A&M will take on two consecutive ranked teams in the 12th-ranked Auburn Tigers and the 15th-ranked Ole Miss Rebels. They’ll finish the year against a motivated LSU team after an easy opponent in Prairie View A&M. November will not be kind.
Today, I’m going to predict the results of every Aggie football game this month.
The Texas A&M football team will take on a really odd Auburn team in their next matchup
This is a really weird matchup between two teams that have had pretty comparable seasons thus far. Unlike the other 6-2 SEC team in Ole Miss, neither of these squads has a particularly strong unit.
That said, I believe that despite a recent win for Auburn over Ole Miss, the Texas A&M football team has more momentum than Auburn. The Aggies are on a three-game winning streak, winning dominantly over three SEC squads in a row. Even so, you’re splitting hairs when comparing these two teams.
I’m taking Texas A&M in this one because it’s a home game for A&M. Say what you want about these two teams being even — playing in front of the best fans in the country has a big impact on the outcome. I think the 12th man will give the Aggies an edge that they’ll desperately need in this one.
A&M wins in a close one.
Final Score Prediction: Texas A&M Aggies 31, Auburn Tigers 28

The Texas A&M football team will take on a threatening Ole Miss team a week after a slugfest against Auburn
Of every team remaining on the Aggies’ schedule, I’m most worried about Ole Miss. The Rebels’ passing attack is arguably the most threatening of any team in the country.
Technically, they rank 23rd in passing offense, but the talent that they have at the quarterback position is undeniable. Even though Matt Corral has slowed down in recent weeks, the Rebel QB could still be the best in the country at his position.
As a result, I think the Aggies will have to hang at least 35 points on Ole Miss to get the win here. And based on the fact that I have them winning against Auburn, I think A&M will have the momentum required to make this happen.
A&M’s passing defense allows under 200 yards, so something has to give in this game. That’ll be the primary storyline here — will the Aggies slow down Ole Miss through the air or will the Rebels gash Texas A&M in the passing game?
It’ll be a high-scoring game, but A&M’s stingy pass defense will prevail.
Final Score Prediction: Texas A&M Aggies 42, Ole Miss Rebels 34

The Texas A&M football team gets a break against a Prairie View A&M team that is not even remotely threatening
If you’re a Texas A&M Aggie sports fan, you’re familiar with the fact that the Texas A&M basketball team recently played Texas A&M-Kingsville really close. If they had lost that game, it would have been one of the worst losses in program history.
I say this to make a point — Texas A&M cannot overlook other schools with A&M in their name who are nationally unknown. A stretch, yes, but a fun joke.
In reality, the Texas A&M football team is in a much better place than the Texas A&M basketball team. The basketball team only won eight games last season — I could count on two hands how many times that has happened in program history. Do you know who won more games than this? The football team, who won nine in 2020.
In reality, the Aggies should completely dismantle the Panthers in a contest where the talent gap is insurmountable. This should be a strong confidence-building game and a good opportunity for Jimbo Fisher to build his team’s resume to be the first two-loss College Football Playoff team.
Still, Prairie View is 6-1 on the year and sits at first place in the SWAC. They’ll be motivated to give the Aggies a fight. The real storyline to follow here is whether Texas A&M will win in a convincing or unconvincing manner — I’ll go with the latter.
Final Score Prediction: Texas A&M Aggies 51, Prairie View A&M Panthers 7

The Texas A&M football team will take on an LSU team playing in Ed Orgeron’s last game
You can explain it to me all day long but I’ll never understand the logic behind firing a coach midseason and letting him finish out the rest of the year in charge. He’s gone anyway — why not let another coach get a head start?
Unfortunately for Texas A&M, this set up the Aggies to face an LSU football team that will be playing a farewell game in Baton Rouge for the head coach that brought the team a national championship less than two years ago. Calling this a trap game, especially if the Aggies win out to this point, would be an understatement.
Thankfully, LSU’s defense is horrible and their offense isn’t good enough to make up for it. I think Texas A&M is an objectively better team and even though LSU will be playing their most emotional game since the 2019-20 National Championship game, I think they’ll fall just short.
That said, this could be an ugly one to watch if you’re an Aggie fan.
In order to win dominantly, Texas A&M will have to have strong performances out of its offensive playmakers in Zach Calzada, Jalen Wydermyer, and Isaiah Spiller. I think they’ll do just that, which will create a scoring gap in favor of the Aggies by the end of the game.
Final Score Prediction: Texas A&M Aggies 31, LSU Tigers 27
