State’s first run of the fourth quarter went right into the arms of true freshman David Hicks, who stopped the back for no gain. Pressure from Cooper on third down resulted in an incompletion, bringing up fourth and six, but the Bulldogs made the choice to go for it. A deep pass to Tulu Griffin fell incomplete, but a late flag for pass interference from a distant referee kept the Bulldog drive alive. Chris Parson evaded pressure from Dalton Brooks and scrambled for about fourteen yards, but the ensuing play was a false start. State tried a trick play that went for a loss, and a pass to the end zone on second down was almost intercepted by Demani Richardson. Shemar Turner chased down a scrambling Parson on third to drop him for a loss, and State was forced to try a 49-yard field goal which fell short.

Texas A&M football took back over on offense, and the backups were starting to get some run. Earnest Crownover and David Bailey both saw action early on the drive, with the latter in particular picking up some huge chunks of yardage. Texas A&M football was stymied just outside the red zone, however, and Bond knocked through a 45-yarder to make the score 51-10.

State would take over with another chance to try and score some points on offense against the backups for Texas A&M football. However, they did not even convert a first down, going three and out after a holding call. The Aggies took back over at midfield after a short return for Ainias Smith, and Marcel Reed trotted out to take a few snaps. He showed off his cannon on the first play, rifling a pass too hot for Ainias Smith, but a couple of good runs on the next two plays converted the first. More tough running by David Bailey picked up another first. Some boilerplate runs failed to pick up the first, and a fourth down attempt, though showing off a great arm from Reed, fell incomplete in the end zone after a PBU by the State defensive back.

State once again took possession with about two and a half minutes left. We got to see the 12th Man, Sam Matthews, make a chase down tackle on Chris Parson on the first play, and Rylan Kennedy had a sure pick six fall through his hands on second down. An incompletion against Kent Robinson (star of the spring game in 2022!) brought up 4th and 4, and the Bulldogs punted. Marcel handed the ball off two more times, and the game drew to a close. The Aggies triumphed, 51-10.
