Five unsung heroes of 2024 that Texas A&M football fans need to give way more props

Texas A&M football had some breakout stars this year, but there were also several players who went a bit under-the-radar that also played important roles.

Five unsung heroes for Texas A&M football's 2024 season: Rueben Fatheree

After losing a couple of seasons to injury, Fatheree is still getting back on track a little bit— but he still gave the Aggies a lot this season. Though Dametrious Crownover and he rotated a lot at tackle, Fatheree's versatility came into play down the stretch of the year.

He stepped up in the bowl game when Ar'maj Reed-Adams went out, filling his spot on the line. The kicker is, though, that Reed-Adams is a guard, and Fatheree has never played in that spot. He did a great job in that role, however, and gave the Aggies a shot to win that game.

He'll return, pending the spring portal window, as a key rotation piece for the offensive front in 2025. He still has all the measurables and skills that made him such a great player for the Aggies in his first year, and hopefully he'll be rounded into an even better form next year.
