Way-too-early 2025 SEC record predictions: Vanderbilt

Vanderbilt has been a really fun story to follow this year. The Commodores have put together maybe the most dynamic 6-6 season we've seen in quite some timeโ€” and it is mostly thanks to Diego Pavia, Eli Stowers, and Jerry Kill.

As exciting as it has been to follow Clark Lea's squad in 2024, though, without Stowers and Pavia (and a host of other senior contributors) it's hard to see them making a similar run next year. Pavia is attempting to come back for a final year, but prospects there don't look extremely positive.

With a schedule that includes visits to South Carolina, Alabama, Virginia Tech, Texas, and Tennessee, as well as home games against LSU, Missouri, and Auburn, I'm afraid that the Commodores' chances of overachieving again are slim. I've got them resuming their place at the bottom of the conference, sadly.

PREDICTION: 3-9 (0-8)
