Where does Texas A&M football fit in the most difficult 2025 SEC schedules?

With the 2025 SEC schedules being released last night, here's where Texas A&M football fits in the list of most difficult slates.

Texas A&M Aggies quarterback Marcel Reed (10) runs the ball as Auburn Tigers take on Texas A&M Aggies at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, Ala., on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024. Auburn Tigers lead Texas A&M Aggies 21-7 at halftime.

Ranking SEC schedule difficulty: 2 - Arkansas

Did anyone else know that Arkansas was going to host Notre Dame next year? That sure took me by surprise.

That is one of several huge games on the docket for the Hogs, but unluckily for them, most of those big games are on the road. That road slate includes an extremely unfriendly back-to-back against LSU and Texas, where 0-2 seems massively likely for Sam Pittman's squad.

For the second-straight year, too, the Hogs are losing a lot to the portal. Pittman and Petrino will have to make something happen in order to field an SEC-quality squad again this year, but I was saying the same thing this time in 2023.

For my money, the game against A&M could well be for Pittman's job. At week 8 in the season, with games against Notre Dame, Ole Miss, and Tennessee already under his belt, this could be the tipping point for Pittman's career in Fayetteville.
