Johnny Manziel is Officially Engaged, And it’s not just to Football
Normally an NFL player getting engaged isn’t news, but when it’s Johnny Manziel it might mean more than a sign of love. He’s ready to take life seriously.
Adam Schefter broke the news late Friday night that Johnny Manziel and Bre Tiesi had gotten engaged.
Since leaving Texas A&M Johnny Manziel has had a wild ride through (and out of) the NFL. After playing in 15 games for the Cleveland Browns he found himself out of the league. Following his second season in the NFL, Manziel checked himself into rehab. It was clear that something wasn’t quite right with the young man. At the time, his advisor Brad Beckworth told ESPN:
"Johnny knows there are areas in which he needs to improve in order to be a better family member, friend and teammate, and he thought the offseason was the right time to take this step."

Factory of Sadness
For whatever reason things got worse before they got better. Manziel would be suspended for four games by the NFL in June of 2016. Then he went into a downward spiral which he called being “#LostInTheSauce” on a Twitter post earlier this year.
Manziel Serious About Changing
Then things started to change for Manziel. In January Johnny Manziel announced he was sober and planned to stay that way.
Since then he has deleted his Twitter account and started training for an NFL comeback. He’s also rehired his former agent who dropped him following his struggles and inconsistency.
Now he’s taking another big step: marriage. Anybody can get married. It’s not necessarily a sign of having your life together. But for Manziel, it’s one more thing in his favor that points to the changed man below the wide smile Aggie fans have grown to love. At this point, one can’t help but notice Manziel has continued to take positive steps for several months. That’s a good sign for him and for his many fans.
