2. Devwah Whaley RB

Devwah Whaley is a 6’0″, 200-pound running back from Central High School in Beaumont, Texas. He is ranked as a four-star prospect and the no. 22 recruit in Texas by 247Sports.com

Whaley rushed for 1,305 yards with 12 touchdowns in 2014. He possesses every attribute you want in a running back.

Whaley is a tough runner who breaks a lot of tackles. He is quick through the hole and has great speed. Whaley also excels in track where he has long-jumped 23’1″ and triple-jumped 46’6.” The kind of speed and power required to leap that far on the track is on display on the football field when Whaley carries the ball.

He is an elite athlete and a tremendous football player. The Aggies lack of depth at the running back position has been evident during the first three games of 2015 when walk-on Kwame Etwi has received meaningful carries. The Aggies will lose two running backs to graduation after the 2015 season. If Whaley signs with A&M, he will compete for playing time immediately.
