Texas A&M Football: Aggies Look to Smash NMSU Aggies
Texas A&M Players to Watch
RB, Treyveon Williams
Williams had his most ineffective game of his young Aggie career last weekend against the Crimson Tide, accounting for just 23 yards on nine carries. He just couldn’t get anything going against the speed of the Alabama defensive front. He’ll be back and looking for vengeance. The freshman had 217 rushing yards at home against Tennessee. Don’t be surprised if he tops that number on Saturday.
DE, Myles Garrett
The officials weren’t too kind to Garrett last weekend. It’s probably safe to assume he has a little pent up rage left in him that will be released on New Mexico State on Saturday. I feel bad for the offensive tackles that will be sentenced to their woeful fate of attempting to stop this All-American pass rusher who picked up another 3.5 tackles for a loss last week against an Alabama offensive line filled with blue chip recruits.
K, Daniel LaCamera
LaCamera wasn’t much of a factor in last week’s game, kicking just two extra points without attempting a field goal. Prior to the Alabama game, LaCamera had missed at least one field goal in his last three games. That included the potential go-ahead kick against Tennessee in the fourth quarter. If the Aggies are to run the table, they’ll likely need at least one more big kick from LaCamera down the stretch. There shouldn’t be much pressure on him this weekend, and practice makes perfect right?
