2013-2014

Year number three of the Kennedy regime saw the Aggies once again fail to compete at a reasonable level. A&M lost 10 conference games. Worse, they dropped non-conference contests to North Texas and Missouri State. The program had reached an utterly embarrassing level.

With an 18-16 record the Aggies only post-season invite they would receive was from the CBI tournament. They would accept the bid, although it was later reported the University was required to pay close to $50,000 in order to participate in it. Adding insult to injury, they were then quickly knocked out by Illinois State in the second round. Rock, meet bottom.

2014-2015

It had finally looked like the Aggies had turned the corner with the transfers of Danuel House and Jalen Jones. The two were expected to come in and provide a prolific scoring boost. That duo combined with the veteran leadership from Alex Caruso allowed the Aggies to make a significant push towards making the tourney.

Unfortunately injuries and some inexcusable losses down the stretch landed them in the NIT where they would lose in the second round. The team finished that year with a 21-12 record.
