Second Half

Because of time constraints, the third and fourth quarter have shortened. The game clock shows 8:00 minutes remaining.

2:51 p.m.Trey Williams breaks a long run, but it’s called back on holding by Damien Ratley.

2:52 p.m. – Hubenak hits Davis on a quick slant for the first down. Again, nothing sexy, but he’s getting the job done.

2:53 p.m. – The maroon team tries a trick pass, but there’s nobody for Ratley to throw to. Loss of seven.

2:54 p.m. – The defensive line has played well against screen passes today. That was a weakness last year, but they’ve shown a much better ability to recognize the blocking schemes of the offensive line and defend the play accordingly.

2:57 p.m. – Awful pass from his endzone by Starkel. Should have been picked off.

2:58 p.m. – SAFETY! On the next play Jarrett Johnson is credited with a sack of Starkel in the endzone for a safety. He’s played with a lot of intensity today.

The clock will run and that’s the end of this one. The Maroon team defeats the White team 23-7. All three quarterbacks throw a touchdown, the defensive line looked active, and the runningbacks were explosive. All in all, a successful spring game for Texas A&M.
