Strengths

Justin Evans’ athleticism is his greatest strength heading into the NFL draft. The safety position in the NFL has become more and more athletic. For this reason Evans will have no trouble acclimating to the big leagues. Evans’ physical tools allowed him to play all over the field for Texas A&M. He added to his repertoire with hard hits and acrobatic interceptions. Expect this athleticism to translate well into the NFL

Wide receiver skills are another strength Justin Evans possesses. Evans showed exceptional improvement at tracking down and high pointing balls thrown in his direction in his senior season. He also returned kicks for the Aggies in spots last year. He’s shown that he is capable of handling special teams duties in addition to playing defense.

Football is a game of inches. Evans is the guy that has shown a bent to make the big play when it’s needed the most. Vision and turnover creation are key for the safety position in the NFL and Justin Evans can do just that.

When he sets his mind to it, Justin Evans can be one of the best run-stopping safeties in this draft. Time and time again he was able to stop tough, NFL caliber running backs at or behind the line of scrimmage throughout his tenure on the Texas A&M football team. This is because he plays the game with fire and takes every running play toward him personally. Justin Evans’ energy and determination to snuff run plays excite many NFL teams.
