Howdy Corbin Martin.

Last weekend, Stephen Kolek had the lights-out performance of the series. Corbin Martin left no doubt who earned that honor on Friday night as Texas A&M rolled to an 8-2 victory over Alabama. Picking up his 4th win of the season, Martin pitched seven innings, allowing one run on four hits while striking out five. Martin didn’t allow an Alabama hit until the 4th inning.

The Aggie offense backed up Martin’s performance on the mound by racking up 15 hits at the plate. Cole Bedford led the way for the Aggie offense, going 4-for-5 at the plate with 3 RBI thanks to a 3-Run #Whammy in the top of the 3rd.

Every Aggie that came to the plate recorded a hit at some point in Friday’s contest. What stood out to me the most was Nick Choruby reminding us how important a reliable lead-off hitter is, going 3-for-4 while scoring three runs.

John Doxakis closed out the final two innings allowing one run on one hit while striking out 4 Crimson Tide batters.
