Bottom Line

The Aggies have now won 5 SEC series in a row and 17 out of their last 21 games. We’ve seen the bats become increasingly consistent, the bullpen lights out and the starting pitchers particularly phenomenal. A lot of credit is owed to this coaching staff for really turning this season around after a dreadful 0-5 start to conference play. The SEC standings as of now stand as follows:

  1. Mississippi St: 14-7; 30-16
  2. Auburn: 14-7: 32-14
  3. Arkansas: 13-8; 34-12
  4. Texas A&M: 13-8; 32-13
  5. LSU: 13-8; 30-15

Why should this make you excited? Well first off, Texas A&M hold series wins over both Auburn and LSU. Secondly, Texas A&M has 3 SEC weekend series left with Mississippi St, Arkansas and Ole Miss remaining. Even better yet, the weekend series vs both Mississippi St and Arkansas will take place at Olsen Field in College Station.

Texas A&M is playing their best baseball at the right time and in a phenomenal spot as the final month of the season approaches. If you’re an Aggie in the College Station area, make you presence known at Olsen over the next few weeks. Something special is coming y’all

Finally: Braden Shewmake will be your SEC Freshman of the Year. Period.
