Ranking Justification

The college football landscape has yet to see a Nick Saban protegé take the next step. Smart had a decent first year at Georgia, but he hasn’t done much as of yet to separate himself from the pack in either direction. He went 8-4 in year number one. There are a lot of SEC coaches that would take that record no questions asked.

A true freshman quarterback isn’t often a recipe for SEC success. Jacob Eason returns a year wiser and should give Bulldog fans some reason for optimism.

Worst Loss

A 31 point loss to a team that didn’t make a bowl game. Ouch.

Best Win

Zero offensive touchdowns and they still beat a top 10 team.
