One Pitch At A Time

This weekend, the Aggies played without a member of their family. Junior pitcher Trinity Harrington lost her father on Thursday after a battle with cancer. She received a phone call on Wednesday night that sent her to Greeley, Colorado to spend the last moments she could with her father.

Even though she was not physically with the team during the regional run, she was with them in spirit. She even was able to be FaceTime’d into the post game celebration on Sunday as the team saw’ed the horns off of varsity and advanced to Super Regional play with the win over Texas.

In addition, the team donned a blue wrist band this weekend with Eric Harrington’s constant advice “One Pitch At A Time.” No official report has been given as to when Trinity will join the team again. Coach Jo Evans said that will be Harrington’s decision and hers alone. The team will support her no matter what she decides.

The Gig Em Gazette staff sends our sincerest thoughts and prayers to Trinity and her family during this hard time.

What’s Next?

The Aggies will head to Tennessee for a Super Regional match up for all the marbles. Tennessee took two out of three from the Aggies in the regular season finale at the Aggie Softball Complex, but that is behind them now.
