Best Case Scenario No. 3

The Aggie defense takes the next step toward greatness

John Chavis has been at Texas A&M for two years. In his third year the team should have fully adjusted to his style of defense. The defense for the Aggies stepped up big in some critical moments, but they also let the team down more times than once. One of the keys to winning in the SEC is having a great defense.

During Chavis’ years at LSU he made them into a dominant defense. With some time, I think the same thing will happen at Texas A&M. John Chavis has settled in and got his players ready to bring the Wrecking Crew defense back to Texas A&M.

The Texas A&M defense has some critical guys returning after losing the super star Myles Garrett to the NFL Draft. Replacing a guy with Garrett’s talent is not easy but since he got hurt last season we kind of know what to expect. It will not be pretty but as long as the defense gets the job done we will be okay. The Aggies have experienced time without Myles in the lineup due to a foot injury he suffered, and while he was out the defensive line was weak but they did an okay job. With the team knowing they will not have the number 1 draft pick they will play a little harder and step up more. John Chavis has gotten this defense ready to take on the SEC.
