AGGIE PLAYERS TO WATCH

DE: Qualen Cunningham

Cunningham played in all of the 13 games last season including one start against the South Carolina Gamecocks. He recorded a total of 17 tackles with one sack. He had three tackles in four games including the game against Alabama. Cunningham has some pretty big shoes to fill considering the Aggies lost their best defensive player, Myles Garrett, to the NFL as the No. 1 overall draft pick.

QB: Nick Starkel

Starkel is definitely a player to watch this year for the Aggies. Reports say that Texas A&M has named him the starting quarterback for at least the UCLA game. Starkel redshirted his freshman season due to the fact the Aggies already had Trevor Knight and Jake Hubenak on the roster. Starkel was a really good quarterback in high school throwing for 4,745 years with 48 touchdowns in three seasons. His senior year alone he threw for 3,091 yards with 29 touchdowns. Starkel is ready to show the 12th Man what he is all about.

LB: Anthony Hines

Hines was a huge get for the Aggies last recruiting class. He was a 4-star Plano East standout who has the ability to play right away for the Aggies. The Aggies constantly gave up six or seven yards on run plays but with Hines in there it could possibly cut them to less of a gain. With him being ready to compete from game one, this will be a huge step to improving the Aggies defensive run issues.
