Texas A&M Football: Top Aggie road trips in the SEC
Mississippi state
Very similar to how they are on the field, the Bulldogs don’t really do one big thing great, however do a lot of small things well. Tailgating at the Junction is pretty comparable to Spence park in terms of the environment and fans. For the most part it is a very friendly group of students and alumni, who for the majority of our stay were incredibly welcoming.
Let me tell you though, that is a loyal bunch down there in Starkville. The amount of wins and losses doesn’t seem to phase that group from getting rowdy with their cowbells on game day. Oh, and those damn things are just as loud as advertised by the way. Davis Wade stadium is like a miniature version of Kyle Field, but those things help make up the difference.
The bar scene could definitely use some work as there are only about four options in town that are worth giving a shot, however if you’ve got some extra change in your pocket, the casinos are typically the main nightlife attraction.
Other than that Bulldog nation just simply does not have a ton to offer for opposing fans.
Pro tip
Be sure to grab a burger at “Mugshots” on your way out of town and put this trip on the “glad we went, but probably never going again” list.
