As I stated in my quarterback piece, this game has wrecked seasons under coach Kevin Sumlin.  If this team can find a way to beat Arkansas and South Carolina this game should be real interesting.  If this team wins one or loses both, this game could be for Sumlin’s future.  For my sanity and after several years (outside of 2012) of mediocrity, isn’t it time for something to go in our favor.

While I cannot predict a win, I do think the game will be close. I was in Tuscaloosa with my kids (no wife) last year and watched this team fight until the ball started to hit the ground. We currently lead the country in turnover margin and if that trend continues, we have a chance to pull off a major upset. This Alabama team isn’t as scary on defense as past team’s so taking care of the ball, being balanced and not being predictable are my keys to the game.

What would a win do for our chances against Florida and the rest on our schedule? As of Arkansas week, this is a loss, but check back with me in two weeks you never know what could happen.

Final score prediction:  Tide win 31-21 (4-2)
