Weeks 2 and 3 (1-0): SMU and South Carolina State

Texas A&M defeats SMU 48-3, Texas A&M defeats SC State 70-14

There is no data for 2012 SMU or South Carolina State, so we’re going to use the actual scores from the season. Texas A&M defeated SMU 48-3 in Dallas, and handled South Carolina State 70-14 in College Station.

Against SMU Johnny threw for 294 yards and four touchdowns, adding 124 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Receivers Mike Evans and Ryan Swope were beginning to make defensive coordinators across the South sweat at night, racking up 200 yards and a touchdown between them.

FCS South Carolina State came into Kyle Field and was outmatched from the start. The starters were pulled pretty early, and backups got some valuable experience.
