2. Christian Kirk Takes Over

Christian Kirk had a tough game against Florida. Against the Gators, Kirk dropped several passes during the match-up, and at times was blanketed. He was held to two catches for 44 yards in a game where those 44 yards made a large difference. A pretty good punt return did set up the game winning field goal, but his receiving numbers left some to be desired.

Look for him to take over like he did against Arkansas. He is dangerous, and will be itching to go off. I want to see at least six catches for him and 100 yards. With his skills, six catches should net at LEAST 100 yards. Adding in any additions in the return game should mean he has a huge impact on the game.

Kirk has also had a case of the stone hands the past few weeks. All Aggies are sure that his struggles since the explosion against Arkansas should end, and this would be a great game to do just that. His drop rate (catches/drops) is very high, at 18.2 percent, per this tweet. He knows he has to get better.

I’m not sure there is anyone in the Bright Complex that doubts he is going to return to form this year. A well-timed bye week can work wonders for players in a sort of rut, and Kirk should come out fired up and ready to go against Mississippi State, and lead the team to a victory.
