Passing S&P+

Similar to Rushing S&P+, Passing S&P+ measures how well teams pass the ball. Some teams don’t run the ball well, and are forced to throw, and some scheme around throwing it 50 times a game. Our leaders here are Oklahoma (they’re pretty good on offense), Alabama (“Hurts can’t throw!”), USC, Penn State, and Ole Miss.

Of every facet of offensive performance, the Aggies are worst at passing the ball. Even with a playmaker such as Christian Kirk, they score a dismal 86.9, ranking 109th. Remember, a score of 100 is average. Joining the Ags in the cellar are Texas State at 108th, Bowling Green at 104th, and Troy at 100th.

West Virginia (really salting the wound this year) is 34th, with a score of 115.3. For those keeping score, that’s more than 70 ranks higher than the Aggies, who chose a different coordinator because Spavital “wasn’t cutting it”.
