1. Christian Kirk

Christian Kirk has had a bit of a rough year. His production has been limited due to Texas A&M’s quarterback issues, but he has seen his stats improve over the past few weeks.

While his stats in this game may not jump out at you, it was still a solid game for captain Kirk. He finished the game with seven receptions for 78 yards and a touchdown. He’s enjoyed a spike in his production ever since Nick Starkel took over at quarterback.

Starkel struggled against LSU. He had a career high three interceptions on the night. Had he been able to get into a better rhythm, Kirk’s stats would have certainly been more impressive.

LSU is notorious for producing NFL caliber defensive backs. Former members of their secondary include Patrick Peterson, Tyrann Mathieu, and Morris Claiborne, just to name a few. The fact that Kirk was able to catch seven balls against an elite secondary is deserving of praise in its own right.

I have also noticed that Kirk has done a great job of minimizing his drops late in the season this year. He struggled earlier this season to finish catches, but has been much better as of late. If this was the final regular season game for Captain Kirk in an Aggie uniform, it was a good one.
