Texas A&M Baseball: Undefeated Aggies blast by Cornell
By Tim England
Game 3 – Texas A&M defeats Cornell 8-2
Texas A&M picked up where they left off Friday night and claimed their second weekend sweep in a row with an 8-2 victory over Cornell on Saturday afternoon. After hitting for the cycle Friday, Chris Andritsos got right back after it on Saturday, going 3-for-3 at the plate with 2 RBI and scoring another two runs. Logan Foster added on with an additional pair of RBI as he went 2-for-3 at the plate.
But the main story of Saturday was the performance of Mitchell Kilkenny as he claimed his second win of the season. Much like Kolek, Kilkenny has started off the year incredibly well and delivered another solid performance in Game 3. Going 6.1 innings, Kilkenny struck out eight batters while only giving up a single hit. Christian Roa, John Doxakis and Cason Sherrod finished off Cornell with a slight hiccup in the ninth as Sherrod gave up a 2-spot to the Big Red.

Overall, this was a very clean series for Texas A&M both at the plate and on the mound. The Aggies performed like a Top 10 team as both the freshman at the plate and the pitching staff have really started out strong. Texas A&M returns to action on Tuesday night as they face Houston Baptist at 6:30 PM at Olsen Field.
