The Texas A&M baseball team takes on Louisiana Tech, Baylor, and California in the Frisco College Classic in the Aggies first road trip of 2018.

The No. 10 Texas A&M baseball team leaves the friendly confines of Olsen Field and takes their perfect 9-0 record on the road this weekend as they head to Frisco for the Frisco College Classic. Over the weekend the Aggies will face Louisiana Tech, Baylor and California.

The Aggies’ perfect record will be tested this weekend, particularly against Baylor and Cal. The top of the lineup for the Aggies have had a hot start to the season and will look to see that continue in Frisco. Somehow I doubt we’ll see two cycles in three games this weekend, but as long as they continue producing things should go well for A&M.

They come into the game having defeated Incarnate Word on Tuesday night, 9-7.

Coach Rob Childress has elected to go with his usual weekend lineup of Stephen Kolek/Chandler Jozwiak/Mitchell Kilkenny. The Aggies’ team ERA of 1.89 is eighth best in the NCAA and third in the SEC.

The Aggies will look to two-time SEC Freshman of the Week Zach DeLoach to provide an offensive spark over the weekend, as well as Braden Shewmake, and Chris Andristos. Texas A&M’s team batting average of .353 is 6th in the NCAA and tops in the SEC. DeLoach and Andristos currently lead the Aggies with a .457 and .407 batting average respectively.
