2. DJ Hogg must shoot a high percentage

DJ Hogg is one of the best offensive players for Texas A&M. When Hogg has a high percentage, the Aggies put more points on the board. Not only does Hogg need to have a high percentage for the Aggies to be dominant, he must have a high 3-point percentage.

In A&M’s biggest wins of the season, Hogg has consistently done well shooting from beyond the arch. Against West Virginia, Hogg made 66.7 percent of his 3-pointers. Against Kentucky, Hogg made 57.1 percent of his threes. When facing USC, Hogg made 42.9 percent of them. This is a significantly different statistic when compared to the Aggies’ worst losses of the season. Against Mississippi State and Arkansas, Hogg went a combined 0-8 from the 3-point line.

For the Ags to shoot well, DJ Hogg must get hot. If Hogg gets into a rhythm and starts draining shots from deep, it is hard to see the offense not succeeding. Keep an eye on Hogg’s offensive output come Friday.
