The No. 9 Texas A&M baseball (16-2) opens SEC play this weekend with a road trip to the No. 15 Auburn. Here’s what to expect from the Tigers.

The No. 9 Texas A&M Aggies (16-2) open SEC play this weekend with a road trip to No. 15 Auburn. The Aggies come into the game having lost an 18 inning marathon to UT Arlington on Tuesday night. The Tigers (17-1) enter the weekend having picked up a midweek win over Memphis in comeback fashion.

The win was the Tigers’ sixth when entering the eighth inning trailing or tied with their opponents. They are good at capitalizing on opponents miscues – of which the Aggies made many on Tuesday – so it will be important for the Aggies to be at the top of their game.

Texas A&M was good on Tuesday night at continuing to extend the game and give themselves a chance, but the Tigers won’t allow the Aggies to stay in the game long enough to get to 18 innings.

Brendan Venter and Brett Wright provide a lot spark of the Tiger offense. Venter leads the team in batting average (.443), hits (31), and total bases (49). Wright leads the team in slugging percentage (.914), on base percentage (.558), and homeruns (5), and has a .343 batting average.

All three games will be streamed on SEC Network+. Game times are 7 p.m. CST on Friday, 2 p.m. on Saturday, and 1 p.m. on Sunday. The probable starters for the game are as follows:
