Texas A&M players to watch

Outside of about three people, Texas A&M just could not find an offense on Tuesday night. The Aggies left 19 men on base, many of them in scoring position. Michael Helman, Chris Andristos, and Logan Foster each led the way with two hits, but the bottom of the order struggled to capitalize on anything they could get going.

Hunter Coleman, George Janca, and whomever Childress chooses to be the DH will need to find a way to get their bats on the ball for the Aggies to leave Auburn with a series win. Foster has the hot bat right now with a .378 batting average and .708 slugging percentage along with 25 RB, but he’s going to need the guys behind him in the batting order to get on base to continue to be effective.

As for the defensive side of the ball, Childress has switched things up a bit and inserted sophomore John Doxakis into the Saturday night starter spot. He opened the season as a relief pitcher. Opposing batters are hitting .160 against Dox this season.
