When the Aggies struggled out of the gate coach Kennedy put Tonny Trocha-Morelos in the game, searching for a spark. Trocha-Morelos hit the first Texas A&M field goal of the day, a 3-pointer that brought life back to a sputtering offensive attack. He also drew a key charge in the first half.

FINAL STAT LINE: 1-of-4 from the field, 1 rebound, 1 assist, 1 block, 3 points

Savion Flagg played sparingly in this content, but did what was asked of him. He kept his team in the game with a pair of free throws early and didn’t seem much more meaningful minutes afterward.

FINAL STAT LINE: 0-of-0 from the field, 1 turnover, 2 points

Jay Jay Chandler hit a key three-pointer at the 5-minute mark of the first half that gave Texas A&M their first lead of the game. He was unquestionably the better point guard, but the bulk of the duties remained with Starks.

FINAL STAT LINE: 1-of-1 from the field, 1 rebound, 1 steal, 3 points
