Texas A&M Baseball: Eight Aggies take the field on MLB Opening Day
Aggie royalty doesn’t come through very often but Ross Stripling is one of the best to come through Texas A&M in recent years. During his junior and senior seasons, he posted a 24-6 record tallying up 233 strikeouts and on twelve home runs in around 251 innings.
After earning his degree, Stripling took his talents to the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2012. The Dodgers have developed Ross into a solid reliever. In the minors, he posted a 2.86 era and through 174 innings in the show, he’s at 3.87 and getting better.
If LA would have beaten Houston back in October, the only thing that would have made it okay was that an Aggie would have gotten a ring. The Dodgers look to make another run at World Series Championship this season. I imagine Strip will be one of the ones who help them along the way as a great reliever.
