Conclusion

If you haven’t been able to tell, I believe Starkel is the clear-cut starter for 2018. He fits the system and is more refined in the passing game. While I love the raw athletic ability and big arm of Kellen Mond, he’s too far behind in other aspects of the passing game that are too important to overlook.

Still, both young hot shots showed improvement on Saturday and also showed where they still need to improve. Once the season comes, everyone on the team will have improved even more and the Aggies will be ready for week one. All they have to do is learn the new systems and continue to physically develop as young men.

Next: Johnny Manziel has earned his second chance

Big things are in store for the Ags this coming season. As long as they take care of those two things, fall is going to be mighty, mighty fun, filled with lots of good bull.

Other Quarterbacks to make appearances

  • Colton Taylor
  • Connor Blumrick- One touchdown to John Clark
  • Bo Schneider
  • Johhny Manziel- One kick return
