No. 43 overall: New England Patriots

The Super Bowl LII losers took two Georgia players in round one of the NFL Draft, neither of them a wide receiver. They were one of the best fits I identified for Kirk before the draft process so they remain very much in play for him in round two.

They lost Danny Amendola to the Miami Dolphins. He was a favorite target of Tom Brady, especially from the slot. They get Julian Edelman back, sure, but he is turning 32 and coming off ACL surgery. Unless the TB12 method works miracles, Edelman’s time in the NFL will soon come to an end. Kirk could be Brady’s next great weapon in the slot.

No. 45 overall: Green Bay Packers

After Devonte Adams and Randall Cobb, the Green Bay Packers don’t have many weapons at the wide receiver position. They are looking to replace Jordy Nelson, who was released this offseason after several years as Aaron Rodgers‘ best weapon.

Kirk would represent an upgrade in the return game as well. The Packers ranked in the middle of the pack at No. 15 in kickoff returns in 2017.
