2. Jeff Fuller

A four-year starter under Mike Sherman, Fuller’s legacy would have been even greater had he left for the NFL after his junior season like many expected. In his junior season in 2010, Fuller set a Texas A&M record with 12 receiving touchdowns and racked up 1,066 yards receiving. Draft pundits were calling Fuller an obvious first round selection, but he chose to come back for one final ride.

His senior season was disappointing. As the season drew to a close, coach Sherman benched Fuller against Kansas. That sent a message to the wide out. His performance was not up to the standard he had set in his first three years. His final year in Aggieland was riddled with drops and inconsistent play. At the end of that year Fuller was selected in the fifth round of the NFL draft rather than the first round.

Even with the late swoon, Fuller holds the current Texas A&M record for career receiving touchdowns (34). That record has a good chance of standing the test of time. Not many elite players stay on campus for four years.

Fuller’s 12 receiving touchdowns in 2010 were briefly the most for an Aggie in a single season. Mike Evans tied that mark in 2013 and Josh Reynolds surpassed both of them in 2014.
