Texas A&M Football: Too early 2018 game-by-game predictions
By Jeff Shull
@ South Carolina — October 13
South Carolina is a another team A&M has been successful against since joining the SEC. This will be their fifth year in a row playing each other; A&M is 4-0 thus far.
However, South Carolina has several returning starters and Will Muschamp has the Gamecocks trending upward over the last two seasons. They won eight games in 2016 and nine last year, including an impressive bowl win over Michigan.
Quarterback Jake Bentley and wide receiver Deebo Samuel could potentially be first round draft picks in the NFL Draft. They form a lethal combination the Aggies will have to slow down to have any hopes of winning this game.
Good thing for the Aggies, the South Carolina offensive line might be worse than their own, and Texas A&M’s front seven will be more than formidable in 2018 and will make enough plays to slow down the Gamecocks. A&M wins a high-scoring affair.
Prediction: Aggies 35 – Gamecocks 23
Overall record: 7-1
