Ole Miss Rebels — November 10

Sometimes you have a bad game and lose to an opponent you probably shouldn’t lose to. That’s what I’m feeling with the Ole Miss game. After a brutal stretch of three straight road games it wouldn’t be shocking for the Aggies to have a let down. Not to mention (spoiler alert incoming for the LSU game!), I don’t see the Aggies going undefeated at home.

Ole Miss is no slouch, though. The Aggies should not take these Rebels lightly even after getting a road victory in 2017. They return anywhere from 16-18 starters from a year ago, including four offensive lineman and a quarterback who got significant playing time.

One of the reasons Ole Miss won three of their final four games in 2017 was the play of quarterback Jordan Ta’amu, who was inserted for the injured Shea Patterson (who transferred to Michigan) and finished with 1,682 yards and 11 touchdowns. He and his top five options in the passing game are all back in 2018.

2017 was also sort of a year in limbo for the Rebels. Matt Luke no longer has the interim head coach tag and the security could help this roster gel.

Prediction: Rebels 28 – Aggies 23

Overall record: 8-3
