Corner – Clifford Chattman

Chattman was lost for the season after the UCLA loss in 2017 due to academics. He has returned to the squad and had a great showing during spring practices. The former 3-star recruit is massive for his position at 6-foot-5 and won’t get out jumped for deep balls.

He has been running with the first team defense all offseason and will need to step up after Nick Harvey decided to transfer upon graduating.

Safety – Donovan Wilson

Wilson was another guy that could have been drafted had he left for the NFL this year, but an injury that ended his season in the UCLA opener must have had him feeling like there was unfinished business. He can also improve his draft stock as the de facto leader of the defensive backs with Watts out of the picture and mostly freshman/sophomores around him.

Wilson’s absence was felt in a major way both in the historic collapse against UCLA and for the rest of the season. The Aggies finished 87th in passing yards allowed a year ago. Wilson and (corner)’s return should give them a boost.
