This Texas A&M football fan had a little fun with her LSU groom by adding some subtle digs in the groom’s cake for their wedding.
Texas A&M football has had a tough time with LSU football this decade. They lost to the Tigers in the Cotton Bowl in 2011 and then have lost every game they’ve played since joining the SEC in 2012. It was part of the reason Kevin Sumlin got fired. The LSU game came in the month of November every year except 2012, so it was part of his November slides from 2013-2017.
Needless to say, it’s a sore subject for Aggies.
So you can understand why this Aggie fan would take a shot at her LSU groom in the grooms cake at their wedding.
Instead of simply getting a replica of Tiger Stadium, which is an incredibly cool cake to get for an LSU fan, she had to throw the subtle shade and give it her Aggie flavor by putting maroon fans in the stands and having the scoreboard read 42-28. Thanks and Gig Em!
(Cue the obvious jokes from LSU fans that this is the only time Aggies will be winning on the scoreboard. Be more creative, people.)
Jimbo Fisher is now at the helm and Aggie fans are hoping his run of success as both an assistant coach in the SEC and a national championship winning head coach at Florida State can help turn the tide in this matchup.
The early results of his hiring have been all good. He is dominating all Texas teams in recruiting the state and has the Aggies as a top five class in 2019 and 2020 thus far, with a long way to go.
The difference will have to come on the field. Sumlin had success as a recruiter but rarely developed his players into the stars they were hyped to be, and also didn’t have much team success both statistically and in the win column. outside of the first two seasons (with Mike Sherman’s players).

Here’s to hoping an Aggie can make this cake with the score of a victory after this season.
