Justin Madubuike

Madubuike was the prize of the 2016 recruiting class and by far the highest ranked recruit. He is competing with Daylon Mack for the starting job next to defensive tackle Kingsley Keke. Mack was a steal for the Aggies in the 2015 class but has failed to live up to his 5-star rating.

Madubuike shined in spring practices this year and might have already locked up the starting job. The good news is, you need fresh bodies on the defensive line, especially in SEC play. Regardless of who actually becomes the starter, both guys will get snaps.

Having said that, you won’t hear any effort concerns with Madubuike and he’s got much better size than Mack. His longer arms can manipulate blockers and allow him to shed to make tackles. Keke and Madubuike could be a terrific two-some in the SEC this year.
