The offensive guard situation is much less murky than the offensive tackle spots. Connor Lanfear is a beast inside and Sutherland proved he was better inside than as a right tackle in time at both positions in 2017. It very well could be that these are the two Week 1 starters.
Even if that’s not the case, the Aggies are deep with well-recruited talent behind them, with Colton Prater, Jared Hocker, Ryan McCollum and Reed all providing position versatility.
There isn’t much of a need to give true freshman playing time right now, so Jenkins and Matthews can sit and learn for a year.
